    Installation

    • Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; work on drinking water and heating systems must be carried out by an installer.
    • The press connection cannot be disconnected. It can therefore be installed beneath plaster; however, metal parts must not come into contact with cement-based mortar and must be protected with suitable material.
    • The inspection window in the press sleeve shows whether the pipe has been inserted far enough.

Female press tee: frequently asked questions

Dimensions, press profile, inspection and operating limits – brief answers.

What pipe sizes is “Female press tee” available for?

    For aluminium multilayer composite pipe in 16 mm × 1/2″ × 16 mm, 20 mm × 1/2″ × 20 mm, 20 mm × 3/4″ × 20 mm, 26 mm × 1/2″ × 26 mm, 26 mm × 3/4″ × 26 mm, 26 mm × 1″ × 26 mm, 32 mm × 1″ × 32 mm and 40 mm × 1 1/4″ × 40 mm. The outer values specify the two press connections; the middle value is the female-threaded branch, for example 16 mm × 1/2″ × 16 mm. The outside diameter and wall thickness must match across the pipe, fitting and press jaw.

Which press jaw should be used?

The permitted press profile depends on the fitting series and pipe dimensions. State the version you require and your press profile in your enquiry; the specific system approval must be checked before installation. We offer TH-profile press jaws from 16 × 2 to 40 × 3.5 mm. Whether a jaw fits your pressing tool depends on its jaw mount – state the model in your enquiry.

How can I recognise incorrect pressing?

By the LBP (Leak Before Press) function: if a joint has not been pressed correctly, it immediately shows as a leak. Before pressing, the inspection window in the press sleeve shows whether the pipe has been inserted far enough.

What pressure and temperature is the press fitting designed for?

For operation up to 10 bar at −20 to +95 °C, with a maximum temperature of +120 °C. The −20 °C limit applies only with antifreeze, with a maximum glycol concentration of 30 %. Applications according to the manufacturer: drinking water, hot water, radiators, underfloor heating, cooling, irrigation and compressed air.

Can “Female press tee” be installed beneath plaster?

Yes. The press connection cannot be disconnected and can therefore be installed beneath plaster according to the manufacturer. The metal parts must be protected from cement-based mortar with suitable material; your installer will do this.
