Tools for multilayer composite pipe: Pipe shears, calibrators and pressing jaws
We offer three tools for making a press connection on composite pipe, one for each stage; you also need the pressing tool or machine that holds the jaw. The semi-automatic pipe shears cut plastic and aluminium multilayer composite pipe with outside diameters from 10 to 42 mm. A ratchet reduces effort, the stainless steel blade cuts without burrs, and a return mechanism reopens the shears after cutting. The T-handle calibrator restores 16 × 2, 20 × 2, 26 × 3 and 32 × 3 pipe to size in one operation; there is a separate version for 40 × 3.5. We offer TH-profile pressing jaws for 16 × 2, 20 × 2, 26 × 3, 32 × 3 and 40 × 3.5, all with clearly visible size markings and compact enough for tight spaces.
Pressing tools and jaws: What needs to match?
Three things must match. Profile: our press fittings can be pressed with TH, H and U; our jaws have a TH profile. Size: a 20 × 2 jaw is only for 20 × 2 fittings. Mounting: the jaw must fit your pressing tool or machine. State your equipment's manufacturer and model in the enquiry so that we can check before collection. The wrong jaw produces an incorrectly sized press connection, which may leak.

Drilling, cutting and sawing: What should you watch for?
The SDS drill bit has a carbide tip with a self-centring point and three spiral channels that remove drilling dust quickly. It is intended for concrete, reinforced concrete, granite, masonry and natural stone and, according to the manufacturer, also withstands contact with reinforcement. The Hilti cutting disc cuts steel and stainless steel, including reinforcing bars, mounting rails, angles, pipes and sheet metal. It meets EN 12413, has low iron, sulphur and chlorine content below 0.1 %, and must only be used on an angle grinder with a guard covering both sides. The bimetal Hilti saw blades have a 1/2-inch universal shank and 14 teeth per inch and are designed for medium-thickness metal pipes, plates and structures. Still use pipe shears for composite pipe, as a saw leaves burrs and rarely gives a square edge.
Installation: From cutting to a watertight connection
- Position the pipe shears squarely and cut using the ratchet without crushing the pipe.
- Turn the calibrator fully into the pipe, then deburr the inside and tap out the shavings.
- Fit a jaw matching the pipe size, slide on the fitting, check the insertion depth and complete the full pressing cycle.
- Seal threads on transition fittings using sealant from our Consumables range.
- Clean metal surfaces with a wire brush before bonding or sealing, then apply silicone and adhesive with the applicator gun.

What do we need to know to select the right press jaw?
The pipe dimensions, for example 26 × 3, plus the manufacturer and model of your press tool or press machine. Our jaws have the TH profile that matches our press fittings.
Can I also cut metal pipe with the pipe cutter?
No. The semi-automatic pipe cutter is designed for plastic and multilayer composite pipe with an aluminium layer and outside diameters of 10 to 42 mm. Cut metal with the Hilti cutting disc or saw it with a bi-metal blade or pocket saw.
Which materials is the SDS drill bit suitable for?
Concrete, reinforced concrete, granite, masonry and natural stone. It is available in 6 × 110, 8 × 160, 8 × 210, 10 × 160, 10 × 210, 12 × 160 and 16 × 210 mm sizes.
What are the dimensions of the Hilti cutting disc?
125 mm diameter, no more than 1.0 mm thick, with a 22.23 mm bore. It is intended for steel and stainless steel and must only be used on an angle grinder with a double-sided protective guard.
Which cartridges fit the silicone gun?

What is the Schlösser installation key for?
Installing and removing measuring cartridges. It is made for EAS-Modular-K/W; according to the manufacturer, it also fits many other measuring cartridge systems.
