A Type 22 radiator has two heating panels and two convector fins and is 104.3 mm deep – the usual design for living rooms and bedrooms. Type 33 has three panels and three sets of fins, is 160.3 mm deep and gives off considerably more heat at the same size: at 60 × 100 cm, Type 22 delivers 1,602 W and Type 33 2,301 W (standard 75/65/20 °C). Type 33 is worthwhile for large rooms, high heat demand or poor insulation.

Rules of thumb in watts per square metre only give a rough idea and do not replace a heat load calculation. How much output a 20 m² room really needs depends on insulation, windows and flow temperature. The output of every size is shown on the product page; for comparison: 60 × 100 cm Type 22 delivers 1,602 W at 75/65/20 °C. Send us the room dimensions and a photo and we will help you choose; if in doubt, your installer calculates the heat load.

Yes; what matters is the output at a low flow temperature. At that temperature the same radiator gives off less heat: 60 × 100 cm Type 22 delivers 824 W at 55/45/20 °C instead of 1,602 W at 75/65/20 °C. A radiator for a heat pump is therefore usually chosen larger, or as Type 33, which delivers 1,184 W at 60 × 100 cm and 55/45/20 °C. Both values are listed for every size in the product data.

Often yes, if the dimensions match. If you want to replace your radiator, measure the height, length and pipe centres of the old one and check where the pipes come in; on our valve-integrated panel radiators the pipe centres are always 55 mm less than the height. Each has six connections with ½-inch female thread, two on the left, two on the right and two at the bottom, so it can be connected from below or from the side; we do not stock a central bottom connection. Installation and connection are carried out by an installer.

Every size comes with the wall bracket with plugs and screws, the valve insert (supplied loose, not pre-fitted) and blanking and bleed plugs. Not included are the thermostatic head, H-block valve and compression fittings. These are available as accessories, if you wish together with the radiator as a set.
