Beschreibung
Type 22 valve radiator with two heating panels and two convector fins – a widely used, high-output design for living spaces. Bottom or side connection (connection type 6), supplied with wall brackets and valve insert. Steel, powder-coated white (RAL 9016), tested to DIN EN 442.

Installation
- Installation and connection by an installer only. Observe the heating system limits for operating pressure and flow temperature.
- Fix to the wall using the supplied wall bracket, wall plugs and screws.
- Connect at the bottom left or right using the supplied valve insert (included separately, not pre-fitted), or at the side; close unused connections with the blanking and air vent plugs.
- Before replacement, measure the height, width and pipe centres of the old radiator and note whether the pipes come from the wall or the floor.
- Your installer determines the heat output required for a room with a heat loss calculation.

What is the heat output of the Type 22 valve-integrated panel radiator?
It depends on the size. The Watt table on this page gives two values for each size: at 75/65/20 °C and at 55/45/20 °C, the lower flow temperature used with a heat pump, for example. A 60 × 100 cm radiator delivers 1,602 W or 824 W respectively. Your installer determines the heat output your room needs with a heat loss calculation.
Will the Type 22 replace my old radiator?
Often yes, provided the height, width and connections match. The pipe centres are always 55 mm less than the height: 345 mm at 40 cm high, 445 mm at 50 cm, 545 mm at 60 cm and 845 mm at 90 cm. The radiator has six connections with ½-inch female threads, two on the left, two on the right and two at the bottom, and can be connected at the bottom or side; we do not offer a model with a centre-bottom connection. Installation and connection are carried out by an installer.
What comes with the Type 22, and what else do I need?
The wall bracket with wall plugs and screws, the valve insert (included separately, not pre-fitted), and blanking and air vent plugs are supplied. For bottom connection, you also need an H-block valve: angled for pipes from the wall or straight for pipes from the floor, plus two compression fittings to suit the pipe and a thermostatic head. Type 22 or Type 33 – which is more suitable?
Type 22 has two heating panels and is 104.3 mm deep. Type 33 has three panels, is 160.3 mm deep and delivers more heat at the same size: 2,301 W rather than 1,602 W at 60 × 100 cm (75/65/20 °C). Where depth is limited, such as beneath a deep windowsill, Type 22 remains the choice, with extra output achieved through greater width. Your installer determines the required output with a heat loss calculation.
Is the Type 22 available in my size?
We confirm this in our reply to your enquiry, together with the price and collection date. Collection is from our warehouse at Im Mühlenwert 22, 58135 Hagen, Mon–Fri 8:30–17:30 and Sat 10–14 by appointment. Delivery by freight carrier is available by arrangement; we state the delivery charge and lead time in the quotation.
