Schlösser KFR valve with test screw: frequently asked questions
Brief answers on the spindle, drain, operating limits and applications.
How does the KFR valve differ from the free-flow valve?
The KFR valve has a non-rising spindle and a test screw for checking that the non-return valve closes tightly. The free-flow valve’s spindle rises as it opens, so its position shows whether it is open or closed. Both have a drain and are DIN-DVGW-certified according to the manufacturer.
What is the drain for?
It empties the isolated pipe section before maintenance. The valve is intended for drinking water installations.
What sizes is “Schlösser KFR valve with test screw” available in?
3/4″, 1″ and 1 1/4″, all with female threads.
What pressure and temperature is the KFR valve rated for?
According to the manufacturer, up to 10 bar (PN 10) at a maximum of 90 °C. The manufacturer’s range runs from DN 15 to DN 32; we offer 3/4″, 1″ and 1 1/4″.
