Frequently asked questions about the concealed press-fit valve
Construction, valve head and installation depth – brief answers.
What makes up the concealed press-fit valve?
The valve body is pressed into the composite pipe run; the valve head fits into the valve body and opens and shuts off the flow. We offer the valve head and extension as separate items. The valve body is available for 16 × 2 and 20 × 2.
KW or WW – which valve head do I need?
KW is for the cold water pipe, WW for the hot water pipe. The valve head fits the concealed press-fit valve for composite pipe and can also be used as a spare when a valve head needs replacing.
When do I need the extension?
When insulation, a service wall or tiles increase the wall thickness. The extension then brings the concealed valve back to the required installation depth.
Which profile is used to press the valve body?
The permitted press profile depends on the fitting series and pipe dimensions. State the version you require and your press profile in your enquiry; the specific system approval must be checked before installation. We offer TH-profile press jaws from 16 × 2 to 40 × 3.5.
Who installs the concealed valve?
An installer, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The valve is subsequently concealed in the wall and shuts off an individual pipe branch in the building.
