Frequently asked questions about the lockshield service valve
Data, accessories and use – brief answers.
Why does an expansion vessel need a lockshield service valve?
It isolates the expansion vessel for servicing; the built-in drain relieves the water-side pressure in the vessel. The valve remains open during operation – the cap and sealing wire ensure this.
What sizes are available?
The lockshield service valve is available in 3/4″ and 1″, made of uncoated brass.
What is the sealing wire for?
It seals the valve so that its setting cannot be changed unnoticed.
In which systems is the lockshield service valve used?
In heating, cooling and solar systems. Installation and connection are carried out by an installer.
